UPI transactions volume rises 52% to 78.97 billion in January-June: Report

UPI transaction volumes in India surged 52% year-on-year to 78.97 billion in H1 2024, while transaction values increased 40%, reaching Rs 116.63 trillion. PhonePe led UPI apps in volume and value. However, the average ticket size of transactions declined by 8% during this period.
